Resources to help us ‘Become More Like Jesus’
The Teach Them To Obey materials on this website have been created to try and make the complexities of the New Testament more accessible to Jesus’ followers.
Over the last couple of years the results of the emerging analysis of the whole of the New Testament from a discipleship perspective have been shared. The primary objective has been to summarise the main teaching we find there in visual form - what has been called the “One Page New Testament”.
A series more than 26 thought pieces were published on the Faith Articles webpage on this site that together gave a summary of the work as it developed. Now, in 2025, the final results are being published in book form. Why not sign up (below) for information if this is of interest?
Separately, we also introduce previous work that draws out, structures, and summarises all the commands of Jesus - documented and available in paperback and e-book format.
Why not take 90 seconds to look at the related video below?
For years, I glossed over the word obey, perhaps because I preferred to think of the task as merely listing the commands of Christ. Teaching to obey is another thing entirely. It requires my own obedience as I make disciples. Duncan Matheson’s work in these books is vital for any Christian. He categorizes more than eighty of Jesus’s commands into three Kingdom Fundamentals and nine Kingdom Practices. This isn’t a watering down of the Scriptures; it is a simplification for the purpose of practical obedience."
